"The School Direct programme has allowed me to grow and develop exponentially, both as a teacher and a role model. I have gained practical experience in numerous schools, enabling me to refine my focus and build
a career I will be proud of. Having the opportunity to be mentored by outstanding teachers and
leaders has pushed me to continuously grow and develop my practice in the classroom."
Natalie Ellis – School Direct 2015-16
Our partnership is committed to sharing skills, experience, talent and capacity to help improve outcomes for young people in schools in our Alliance and beyond.
Great Sankey High School was first awarded National Teaching School status in March 2012.
We work with our Alliance and others to provide high quality training, development and support.
We are still recruiting to our highly successful School Direct PGCE Programme for September 2020 and we have places in the Primary phase and a wide range of subjects in the Secondary phase.
In line with Department for Education guidance and working with our partner, the University of Cumbria, we have amended our interview process to enable us to conduct interviews remotely.
